When I launched Digg Mama I was a little apprehensive due to the fact that the whole world is in turmoil especially the business world. However something inside me told me I could help the businesses I am working with. I have worked hard this month to promote everyone on the team but the businesses are the ones who really deserve the credit. I cant wait to tell you their achievements in one month alone. It just shows what an amazing entrepreneurial spirit there is in our country and I am so honoured to have been working with them since the start of November.
What can I say. Aimee is in a league of her own. She hosted the biggest virtual glitter party to celebrate 4 years in business. Over one hundred Bodyfit mums attended and £5000 was raised for Little Forget Me Nots Trust. Aimee also filmed all of her content for her new Bodyfit and Beyond programme involving all of her mums in the footage. She is all about her community and this shines through in everything she does.
My friend Sarah had her busiest ever online sales over a 24 hour period after my visit and gained 1000 new followers which she was so happy about it. I know its not all about followers but the more people watching the more potential to increase sales so win win for Cameo Boutique. She also launched a brand new collection instore and online and it was a sell out within 48hrs. Simply amazing.
Kelly launched her Fakeaway menu and it was a roaring success. She is also preparing to launch The Klean Kitchen delivery service which will be simply amazing for her business considering she has followers from all over the country wanting her meals. I am super excited for what the future holds for her business.
I was blown away by my visit to Jack Murphy Jewellers. The interiors and the service are like nothing I have ever experienced. I can't wait to tell you all about their plans for all the little breakaway rooms in their store. This amazing team also raised £6000 for the Southern Area Hospice by raffling a diamond from their collection. This is whats most important, making a difference in life and in business.
Springisland Supermarket
I was so happy when Darragh mentioned Springisland in his viral video. We shop there all the time and now that we are working together I was delighted they got the exposure. The team at Springisland sold out of the Darragh Steak Special within hours and it created a really good buzz around the store.
Helen the proprietor of Finishing Touches reached a big milestone on social. She now has ten thousand followers on Instagram and had more online sales this month since launching her website last year. How flipping amazing is that. I am so proud of you Helen. The kindest soul I have ever met and a friend for life.
"Food is good for the soul." This is Bronagh's ethos and vision for her cookery school and that comes to the fore when you visit her amazing kitchen. This month Bronagh gained 1000 new followers on Instagram and had an overwhelming number of enquiries and bookings. You are all in for a treat when you visit Bakehouse.
Gavin openly admits that he doesn't like to talk on social media but this month he pushed himself out of his comfort zone. He did at home try on's and was able to turn those into sales which is always the goal. After my visit he had his most successful 24hrs of online trading since launching his online shop. He is almost ready to launch his new website and I'm excited for my next visit to see how that is progressing.
Kasia has created the most amazing Christmas Settings for family portraits and this month she is almost fully booked. Also, the foundations for her new studio have been laid which will give her the freedom to create different backdrops within the one space and in turn be able to take on more clients. I am so proud of how her business has grown.
I actually can't believe how amazing this pair are. Jane and Kathy have had to turn their business around due to Covid. They had a sold out wreath making workshop to reschedule and turn into a virtual workshop, which they did. They sold out of all of their pre-made and DIY wreath kits. They gained over 2000 new followers on Instagram this month and they are literally on fire. Love these girls so much.
After my visit to Bumble and Bee my head was literally spinning as I thought about all the amazing ideas which Laura had told me about for her business. Honestly there is no stopping this girl. She reached 10k followers this month on Instagram which has been amazing for her business as she can now swipe up and drive people straight to her website. I'm so happy for you Laura.
Pampering and relaxation is never a priority for me but after visiting Deborah I have had a good talking to myself. Such an achievement to have created a day spa in such a tranquil setting right beside her home. Her dreams for its expansion are breathtaking and I cant wait until Gerard and I can jump in that hot tub and drink some champagne. Deborah gained over 1000 new followers on Instagram and has had lots of new bookings for when the restrictions are lifted.
Julie and Elaine are the dynamite duo. On social media they are a breath of fresh air and they make me laugh so much. This month they have sold out of the majority of their Christmas Stock in record time and their website has been an amazing asset to their business. They are the type of business people are compelled to support as you can see their hard work ethic shine through in all that they do.
Sarah is a force to be reckoned with. She literally has reached every goal she had made for her business this year and in November she smashed her annual target in one month. Do I need to say anymore. She deserves all of this success and I am so proud to have her as a friend and on the Digg Mama team. x
Visiting Jonny and the team was certainly an experience. As Jonny and I zoomed around the shop in the electronic devices I realised just why he is so successful in his field. He is a big kid at heart and he immediately makes customers and children feel at ease in his shop. After my visit this month Jonny has embarked on a collaboration with Interior Designer Hushh Kids .
This collaboration will result in the nursery department having maximum visual impact for customers as well as raising awareness of the skills and services of Hushh Kids. This is why I love it when businesses collaborate. Amazing things happen.
So there you have it. We are in the middle of a pandemic but these businesses have been smashing goals and surpassing targets and generally keeping the heart of Northern Irish business alive. I am by no means claiming that there aren't tough days in these businesses but when you can rise up like this and shine bright I believe its something to shout about and celebrate.
So lets hope December is a healthy, happy, prosperous one for everyone and that we can look forward to 2021 with hope and excitement. Thank you for following the Digg Mama journey on social media. I feel very lucky to have such a supportive tribe cheering me and my team on. You guys are the best.
Love Caroline x
